Do you want to engage with our community of sustainable fashion lovers and festival fans? Join our social media team to promote the Oxfam Festival Shop on multiple channels spread the word about our poverty fighting charity.

About this role

The Oxfam Festival Shop is a touring pop-up shop based at Oxfam’s Northern Logistics Centre in Batley. In this role, you will be using different social media platforms to engage Oxfam’s followers by highlighting amazing donations and second hand styles, sharing volunteer experiences, promoting festival and events and talking about Oxfam’s worldwide projects. You will be working with the Festival Shop Team to create and develop a social media strategy for each shop. This will include audience and demographic research, understanding festival themes, working with the fashion sorters to select appropriate trends and planning content for the lead up and duration of the festival. You will gain experience in understanding audience engagement, brand representation, graphic design and video and photo content creation. Perfect for your CV! Although knowledge and experience of social media platforms is desirable for this role, we will give you all the training and support you need so you will develop your skills as part of our team. We cover lunch and local travel costs.

What happens next?

After you apply the volunteer coordinator may ask you to come in for an initial chat. This is not an interview, just a chance to get an idea of what we do. From there you will complete a volunteering induction, meet the rest of the volunteer team, and begin getting involved!
